At Polar Analytics, Finance will serve as the strategic backbone of our growth, ensuring financial stability while powering data-driven decisions across the organization. As we scale, we’re looking for our first Finance Manager who can build scalable processes, drive financial planning, and partner with leadership to fuel our next phase of growth.

What’s the Scope?

  • Financial Reporting Excellence: Ensure accurate, timely monthly closes and deliver comprehensive reporting packages including P&L, cash position, budget tracking, and key SaaS KPIs

  • Accounting and Monthly Closing: Own the closing process to ensure we keep an accurate and up to date view of our finances

  • Process Optimisation: Improve cost control and financial hygiene by implementing robust spend policies, tools, and scalable processes for revenue recognition

  • Strategic Planning: Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes while supporting GTM leaders with revenue forecasting and pipeline analysis

  • Operational Ownership: Manage finance and admin-related operations including vendor payments, entity setup, legal coordination, and equity administration

This Job is Made for You If:

  • You Have Startup Experience: You’ve previously worked in a startup or scale-up finance function, with strong foundations in accounting principles and financial reporting

  • You’re Data-Driven: You possess strong Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills and deep understanding of SaaS metrics and unit economics (CAC, LTV, Gross Margin, NRR)

  • You’re Action-Oriented: You have a collaborative mindset with a strong bias toward action and a hands-on approach to solving problems

  • You’re a Clear Communicator: You can present complex financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders and maintain discretion with sensitive information

Our Hiring Process 📝

We believe in a structured, fair, and transparent hiring process. While the steps may vary by role, here’s what you can expect:

1. Recruiter Screen (30 mins): A call with our Head of Talent to talk through your current/past experience and your motivations and Tell you more about Polar Analytics.

2. Role Fit Interview (45 mins): Here, you’ll meet either the Hiring Manager or a team member of a similar level to discuss your ways of working and understand your skillset and ability for the role.

3. Competency Deep Dive (1 hour): This interview usually consists of a practical element (case study, Presentation, Technical Problem Solving etc) designed to give you a broader understanding of how we drive impact at Polar. This will be with the hiring manager and one other team member.

4. Culture Interview (45 mins): A conversation with one of our Culture Champions. We assess your team fit based on our values (see below).
