Fleetio seeks a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Reporting Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. In this critical role, you’ll help drive a culture of continuous improvement by ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and compliance of our financial reporting processes. You’ll support internal and external reporting and month-end close activities and collaborate cross-functionally with FP&A and other accounting team members. Your Impact
- Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for Fleetio, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with US GAAP
- Support the stand-alone close of Auto Integrate, our UK-based subsidiary, including foreign currency translation, consolidation, and compliance with both US GAAP and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS); assist with the combined consolidated close process, including intercompany eliminations and consolidated reporting
- Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile key general ledger accounts
- Manage the full fixed asset lifecycle in NetSuite, from acquisition to disposal
- Collaborate across teams, including global team members, to resolve financial reporting matters and share insights.
- Stay current on accounting standards; assess their impact and guide adoption when needed
- Proactively identify and implement process and control improvements to enhance accuracy and reduce risk
Your Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in public/private accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant SaaS experience)
- Actively pursuing or open to pursuing CPA designation (preferred but not required)
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Proven success in managing recurring accounting duties
- Ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and implement changes collaboratively
- Technologically savvy and comfortable using various software/tools
- Highly motivated and ambitious
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Well-organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus
- Experience with foreign currency is a plus
- Background check required
