Job purpose

At BELAY, we’re passionate about providing innovative financial solutions tailored for the Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) market and accounting firms. We empower businesses to thrive by streamlining their financial operations and fostering strategic partnerships.

As a Financial Solutions Consultant, you’ll be at the forefront of driving revenue growth by selling our cutting-edge financial solutions to SMBs and accounting firms. You’ll leverage your strong understanding of accounting principles and solutions to build strategic partnerships, effectively communicate the value of our offerings, and manage the entire sales cycle. This remote role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of our clients and BELAY.

Duties and responsibilities

As a BELAY Corporate Team member, you will professionally represent the company in all virtual and onsite interactions. You are expected to exemplify our mission, vision and core values daily, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Growth & Business Development: Proactively identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within the SMB and accounting firm sectors. Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Intelligence & Analysis: Conduct continuous market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs. Analyze market data to position our solutions and identify new opportunities for growth effectively.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with accounting firms, industry influencers, and relevant stakeholders. Collaborate with partners to drive mutual business opportunities and expand market reach.
  • Solution Expertise & Value Proposition: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of our financial solutions, accounting software, and industry best practices. Effectively communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of our solutions to prospective clients.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Employ a consultative sales approach to understand customer challenges, business goals, and financial objectives. Develop and present tailored solutions that address specific client needs and deliver measurable results.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to closing and onboarding. Utilize CRM software and sales management tools to track progress, manage opportunities, and ensure a seamless and efficient process.
  • Inbound Lead Management: Effectively manage and qualify inbound marketing leads generated through various channels. Prioritize leads based on engagement and potential, and convert them into qualified sales opportunities.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and client relations, to ensure alignment and maximize customer satisfaction. Share best practices and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

BELAY is looking for a motivated and trustworthy self-starter with strong communication and technological skills who thrives both independently and on a team. Our ideal corporate team member is flexible, creative, well-organized and ready to roll up their sleeves to get the job done!

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience, with experience in financial solutions for the SMB market (3+ years).
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial solutions, and the challenges faced by SMBs and accounting firms.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales management tools.

Working conditions

BELAY Corporate offers full-time remote work, requiring a dedicated, distraction-free home office for standard Monday-Friday business hours, with occasional travel for some roles. As a full-time, non-exempt W-2 employee, you’ll join a vibrant, award-winning company culture where you’re a valued, engaged team player in a thriving organization.
