🌏 Location:You can choose to work in a full-remote mode as long as you’re living in (or willing to relocate to) either Germany, France, Italy, Serbia or Spain.

⭐ Your mission

Join us as a Frontend Team Lead and help us drive the React migration while managing a high-performing team of frontend engineers in our Pricing domain. You will be part of a team of 80 Frontend engineers and managers shaping the financial app that will be used by one million SMEs by 2025.

As a Lead Frontend, your team will be composed of 5 Frontend Engineers working closely with Product, Backend and Mobile engineers within feature teams. You’ll be joining at an exciting time as we complete our React migration with an ambitious close deadline.

👩‍💻🧑‍💻 As a Frontend Team Lead at Qonto, you will

People Management:

• Manage a team of 5 Frontend Engineers, spending approximately 20% of your time on management activities

• Foster the professional and technical growth of your teammates through mentorship, pairing, and delegation

• Provide regular feedback to your team members through 1o1s and regular progress reviews

• Build a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team culture

• Conduct interviews to hire new team members

Technical Leadership & Delivery:

• Lead the React migration initiative with a challenging deadline, ensuring smooth transition from Ember.js

• Drive the delivery of your Frontend team to ensure that quality is shipped on time on well-scoped projects in order to meet business objectives

• Embrace and promote GenAI tools within your team to enhance productivity and development workflows

• Manage stakeholder relationships across Product, Backend, and Mobile teams within your CFT, particularly focusing on complex monetization features

• Establish and use engineering best practices to ensure high quality

• Contribute to improving the Web team’s overall operating system

You will also contribute to making Qonto shine by writing blog articles or speaking at events.

The Web team strives for excellence in management: we developed a comprehensive management training program from scratch in only five weeks. This program is now used by several Tech teams to fast-track engineers to leadership positions.

• AI-first approach: We’re integrating GenAI tools into our development workflows and expect leads to champion this transformation within their teams.

• React migration: You’ll be joining during our React migration with an ambitious end-of-year completion target - this is both a challenge and an opportunity to make a significant technical impact.

• Complex monetization challenges: The Pricing team works on sophisticated features that directly impact our business model and customer experience, requiring close collaboration with multiple teams.

🤝 Your future manager

You will report to Adrien Cadet, Head of Mobile & Web for the Systems & Monetization domain.

Adrien brings deep expertise in leading technical teams through complex product challenges and scaling engineering organizations. He will support your growth as a leader while ensuring you have the autonomy and resources needed to drive your team’s success.

🏅About you

• People Management Experience: You already have meaningful experience as a team manager, or have successfully tackled challenges that required people skills. You understand how to balance hands-on technical work with team leadership.

• Delivery Excellence: You have a proven track record of driving team delivery to ensure quality is shipped on time and on well-scoped projects. You understand how to balance speed with quality and can navigate tights deadlines while maintaining high standards.

• React Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with React is essential for leading the migration and mentoring your team. You have at least four years of experience in software engineering using frontend JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular…). You don’t need prior experience with Ember.

• AI Openness: Familiarity with or enthusiasm for GenAI tools and their application in software development. You’re excited about integrating AI into development workflows.

• Stakeholder Management: You excel at cross-team collaboration and can effectively manage relationships with Product, Backend, and Mobile teams in a fast-paced environment, particularly in complex monetization contexts.

• Continuous improvement mindset: You put energy into getting better at your craft every day and drive improvements within your team and the broader organization.
