About the Software Development Team

  • Quorum’s globally distributed development team spans the US, Brazil, and Moldova, with over 100 professionals across Engineering, Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and InfoSec. We operate in autonomous, cross-functional squads of 4–8 engineers—each owning the full development lifecycle from planning and design to deployment, support, and data operations.
  • Our platform is built as a unified system on a shared codebase, focused on centralized, scalable solutions that support multiple products and features. We take an outcome-oriented approach to development—aligning on OKRs and roadmaps, and collaboratively refining the backlog with Product and Design. We accelerate delivery and reduce uncertainty through early validation with prototypes, spikes, and demos.
  • We follow a Kanban workflow with trunk-based development, limiting work-in-progress to maintain velocity and reduce bottlenecks. Our DevOps pipelines—running on AWS and orchestrated with Kubernetes—support 3+ production deployments per day. We use feature flags for safe rollouts and rely on automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) to ensure code quality and stability.
  • As an AI-first engineering organization, we integrate tools like Augment Code (or GitHub Copilot) into daily workflows—not just for coding, but for documentation, test generation, architecture, and debugging. AI also powers core parts of our platform, including Quorum Copilot and our automated data collection pipelines.
  • We rely on a modern collaboration and development toolset—GitHub for version control, JIRA for project tracking, Confluence for documentation, and Slack for team communication.
  • Security and quality are embedded into everything we do. Our teams work closely with InfoSec and DevOps to maintain a strong security posture and exceed our operational Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • We believe software development is a team sport. We invest in each other’s growth, value strong relationships, and know that high-performing teams build exceptional products.

In an effort to continue to build a diverse and inclusive work environment that advances pay equity, Quorum has implemented a “No Negotiation” policy for base salary for new hires for roles that are currently staffed by three or more team members. This means that candidates for the Fullstack Software Engineer II role cannot negotiate Quorum’s base salary offer.

Here’s our promise to you:

  • We will not ask you what you are currently earning.
  • We will consider years of relevant experience, relevant professional certifications/education, and performance expectations in setting what we believe is a competitive, fair base salary offer.
  • We will be transparent about our compensation structure (see above) so that all candidates have equal access to compensation information and can make an informed decision about whether or not Quorum is the right workplace for them.

If you are interested in learning more about how negotiation impacts pay equity and/or why other start-ups have decided to implement a “No Negotiation” policy of some type, here are a few resources: Project Include, AAUW, Ministry for Women, Magoosh.

Note: Quorum does not endorse or verify any of the information provided in the resources on the impact of negotiation on pay equity. We provide these resources simply to increase awareness of a topic we believe is important for both employers and candidates to consider.

We comply with all requirements for US government federal contractors issued by the OFCCP, IFR, and the terms of our government contracts.
