Job Description
We are seeking an HR Process Team Leader to drive the optimization and efficiency of HR workflows in Workday, while ensuring alignment with business goals. In this role, you will lead process improvements, enhance operational effectiveness, and support compliance with HR policies and regulations. You will collaborate closely with HR, Finance, and other key stakeholders to oversee service delivery, employee support, and accurate reporting. Additionally, you will guide a team in refining HR processes to elevate operational excellence and improve the overall employee experience.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Processes & Optimization:
HR Process Configuration & Enhancement: Maintain and refine HR workflows in Workday, ensuring alignment with employee lifecycle needs, including onboarding, offboarding, time and absence management, and talent processes. Adapt processes and structures to improve usability and efficiency.
Workflow Optimization: Design and improve business processes to streamline execution, enhance employee experience, and ensure seamless HR task management.
Employee Support & Service Management: Provide essential support by addressing employee cases, resolving process-related issues promptly, and ensuring smooth HR service delivery through structured response mechanisms.
Training & Documentation: Develop user-friendly training materials and provide guidance to employees, ensuring HR teams are equipped with best practices for improved use of Workday.
HR Process Monitoring & Compliance: Continuously assess the effectiveness of HR processes, swiftly addressing disruptions to maintain uninterrupted operations. Ensure compliance with regulations and conduct routine audits to maintain accuracy and integrity in HR data.
Collaboration with Key Stakeholders: Provide comprehensive support across employee lifecycle events, including hiring, promotions, and transitions. Work closely with HR, Finance, and leadership teams to refine workflows, implement process improvements, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Management of other HR Systems:
Partner with HR and business leaders to assess system functionalities, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement enhancements that optimize efficiency and user experience.
Oversee and coordinate the support for other HR tools, ensuring correctness of employee data, system availability and functionality and escalation of issues to IT for automated solutions.
Manage user inquiries and system support through the company ticketing system, ensuring timely issue resolution and clear communication.
Team Management:
Lead and support a team of HR process specialists, fostering collaboration and operational efficiency. Provide strategic guidance to ensure seamless HR workflows and optimize resource utilization.
Delegate responsibilities thoughtfully while driving improvements in HR operations to enhance organizational impact.
Promote continuous professional growth through training, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with Workday HCM and modules such as, but not limited to, Absences, Time Tracking, Help, Journey, Benefits, Learning, and Hiring, including system configuration and workflow customization.
Good knowledge of data models used in Workday HCM and related modules.
Strong understanding of HR processes, employee lifecycle management, and organizational structures.
Knowledge of other HR tools is a plus.
Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, SOC2) and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues and conduct root-cause analysis.
Excellent documentation and communication skills to support technical training and collaboration.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement approach and efficiency.
Experience leading and mentoring teams, fostering collaboration and efficiency while providing guidance on system management and process improvements
