Overview

As Growth Lead, your primary objective will be driving product growth and visibility within   communities through developer relations (DevRel) marketing and targeted direct marketing initiatives. Reporting directly to the Portfolio Director, you’ll leverage strategic outreach to secure product visibility, endorsements, and drive measurable user acquisition and engagement.

Responsibilities & Expected Outcomes

  • AI-First Growth Strategy: Develop and implement AI-native approaches to growth marketing, including leveraging AI tools for content creation, audience targeting, and personalization at scale. Expected Outcome: More efficient, high-impact campaigns driven by AI.

  • Product Marketing Strategy: Own and execute product marketing strategy including market positioning, go-to-market planning, and product messaging frameworks. Collaborate with squads to ensure market-driven product development and launch strategies. Expected Outcome: Stronger product-market fit and faster post-launch sales.

  • Community Outreach & Relationship Building: Engage actively with communities, forums, and influencers to increase awareness, trust, and credibility of our books and resources. Expected outcome: Demonstrable growth in community presence and interactions.

  • Amazon Reviews & Ratings: Initiate and manage campaigns to secure consistent, positive Amazon reviews and ratings from influential professionals and users. Expected outcome: Increased product ratings, leading to improved Amazon discoverability and sales.

  • Expert Endorsements: Cultivate relationships with influencers and experts to secure authoritative endorsements. Expected outcome: Regular flow of testimonials and endorsements used effectively in marketing materials.

  • Email Marketing & List Growth: Execute email marketing campaigns targeted at audiences to drive user engagement and direct sales. Expected outcome: Steady growth in subscriber list size and measurable improvement in campaign-driven conversions.

  • Drive vertical growth revenue: Plan and execute targeted Amazon discount campaigns to boost visibility, traffic, and conversions across key titles. Analyze campaign performance to identify scalable tactics, optimize conversion strategies, and inform future product and marketing decisions. Expected Outcome: Revenue growth from key titles, with improved ROI from discount campaigns.

  • Website Conversion Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and optimize landing pages and product pages specific to maximize visitor conversion rates. Expected outcome: Increased conversion rates from site visitors to customers.

Team Structure

  • Reports directly to the Portfolio Director.

  • Collaborates closely with product management functions and content teams.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record (2+ years) in growth or devrel marketing, ideally within tech publishing.

  • Expertise in influencer outreach and acquisition, Amazon marketing strategies, and community engagement.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience optimizing email campaigns and onsite conversion.

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, particularly within technical communities.

The Growth Lead role offers significant autonomy to directly influence the growth trajectory of the vertical through strategic outreach and precise marketing execution.
