Job Summary
The HR Advisor (Temporary) will provide day-to-day HR support while assisting with high-priority projects focused on M&A integration and compensation strategy. This includes stabilizing HR processes during acquisitions, coordinating cross-functional onboarding, policy harmonization, and ensuring data/system alignment. The role will also support compensation initiatives such as salary benchmarking, building job architecture frameworks, and preparing for the end-of-year compensation cycle. The HR Advisor will work closely with HR leadership, legal, and business teams to enhance HR operations, improve compliance, and deliver scalable, people-centered solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a project manager for the HR workstream lead for assigned integration efforts, supporting onboarding, data transitions, and employee communications.
Assist in mapping and harmonizing HR policies and practices across merging entities.
Support employee record transfers, employment agreement reviews, and regulatory compliance for each acquired entity.
Coordinate with Legal, Finance, and local HR representatives to execute Day 1 readiness and post-Day 1 stabilization plans.
Assist in HR systems alignment and cleanup (e.g., HCM, payroll, ATS).
Track key milestones and maintain integration checklists and timelines.
Document workflows and ensure transition plans are audit-ready and compliant with applicable laws.
Escalate risks or barriers to integration success, and help develop mitigation plans.
Maintain confidentiality and a high degree of discretion in sensitive matters.
Assist in developing a compensation benchmarking strategy, including market analysis and salary survey participation.
Support the creation and maintenance of a scalable job architecture framework to align roles across business units.
Contribute to the design and execution of annual compensation processes, including merit planning and bonus administration.
Partner with HR leadership and Finance to ensure internal equity and pay transparency across functions and levels.
Prepare compensation data summaries and presentations for leadership decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications, Education, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or administration preferred
At least 8 years of HR experience in a corporate environment, previous management experience preferred
Comprehensive understanding of state and federal employment laws, including EEO, ADA/FEHA, FLSA, and FMLA/CFRA
Understanding of, and experience with, most or all of the core aspects of Human Resource Management (talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, employee relations, leadership development, and training).
Must possess strong project management, analytical, and process mapping skills, with the ability to interpret HR data, optimize workflows, and lead HR process improvement initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and influence peers and business partners at all levels.
Must possess a consultative style and approach with a proven ability to develop credible relationships with business partners.
Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present their point of view in varied business situations.
Adept at problem-solving and conflict resolution.

Physical Demands
This position often requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, twisting, reaching with hands and arms, using hands and fingers, handling, constant talking, and hearing—visual acuity to read computer screens and written materials. Also, must be able to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
Working Environment
Hybrid preferred; remote considered for the right candidate. This position may require occasional domestic travel.
