Sysco International is part of the wider Sysco family and due to our journey through a significant period of transformation and growth we now have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join the Sysco Advisory and Audit Services team.
Main duties will include risk assessment, planning and executing business reviews, advisory projects to support key leaders as well as perform SOX testing for entities within Sysco.
Reporting directly to the Advisory and Audit Manager you will be accountable for performing financial, operational and compliance reviews across multiple divisions. You will also be reporting results and recommendations to management at all levels.
We are offering a Home-Based contract and a study support package. There will be limited travel required within the UK and occasional international travel.
Key Accountabilities & responsibilities:
- Assist the team in the delivery of the approved audit plan through the execution of end-to-end activities - risk assessment, planning and audit scope development, project execution and report writing
- Perform and complete all aspects of an audit assignment to ensure that it is completed effectively and that the work meets professional and quality standards. Contribute to successful completion of projects by closely coordinating with management, business process owners and external auditors if applicable
- Review policies and procedures and recommend improvements to enhance the internal control environment
- Assist in identifying key risks and take initiative to resolve issues
- Communicate using appropriate styles, methods and timing to maximise understanding and impact. Engage closely with a wide range of stakeholders
- Use data analytics tools across different assignments to drive efficiencies
- Exhibit flexibility and ingenuity when performing financial, operational or compliance reviews. Ensure deadlines are met
About you:
You will be currently training in ACCA/ACA/CIA or equivalent, (Study support package is provided) and have experience in a finance position with the ability to analyse and evaluate financial statement data to ensure accurate recommendations are provided. You’ll be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, including the ability to conduct effective interviews and be able to apply experience, critical thinking skills, and internal control concepts to evaluate processes and identify risks. You will work in a team environment and interact with varying levels of leadership.
