IT Administrator

We’re seeking an experienced IT Administrator in the Denver area to take on a pivotal role in supporting our growing organization of over 1,000 employees across the U.S. Reporting to the Director of IT, you will join a team of two other IT administrators covering the Eastern and Pacific timezone and two IT Engineers to help with escalations and mentor you on more complex system administration tasks.

Responsibilities
User Support
Handle end user support issues on Mac, Google Workspace, Slack, Okta and other company systems
Assist with onboarding, offboarding, role changes and other business processes
Office Support
Manage the Denver offices Video Conferencing Systems and other technology needs
Be onsite for events to provide IT Support ~1/month
On-Call
Tier 1 IT Support for the Mountain timezone, averaging 4 hours per day
16% of nights and weekend on-call for rare urgent issues
System Administration
Perform configuration changes on key systems Jamf, Okta and Google Workspace
Identify areas for improvement and automation
Endpoint Management
- Help with OS and Application Updates, Onboarding, Offboarding and other routine procedures
90 Day Plan
Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:
Learn Virta Systems you will be administering
- Okta, Jamf, Slack
Meet Key Stakeholders
Complete Project Plans for Next Quarter
- Migrating to a AI first support platform
Must-Haves
Must Haves
Lives near the Denver office <1hour commute to reach office in emergencies
Experience working with Apple Macs, hardware, performance, application troubleshooting
Admin Experience with Jamf, Okta, Google workspace (two out of three)
Patient and empathetic with helping people that are new to macs and not very computer experienced
Nice-To-Haves
Basic scripting experience Bash, Python
Github Fluency
Experience with office management, working with video conferencing equipment, cameras, basic network troubleshooting and event management
Has supported Executives, doing “White Glove” Support
Zendesk/Jira ticket system experience
Working with PHI or in a HIPPA regulated company or other highly regulated, secure, compliant industry
Working with a hypergrowth start up or recent IPO

Virta has a location based compensation structure. Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience. For this role, the compensation range is $$74,133 - $85,210 annually. Information about Virta’s benefits is on our Careers page at: https://www.virtahealth.com/careers .
