About the role

We’re looking for a Senior SDET to join our client’s Global IT Operations team. Our client is a fast-growing fintech company revolutionizing payments, card issuing, and revolving credit solutions. In this role, you’ll lead the testing efforts in a dynamic, high-impact environment.

What you need to succeed in this role

  • Proficiency in Java and JUnit test framework.

  • Strong domain knowledge and experience in testing within the payments and card industry.

  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry-specific protocols.

  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new domains as needed.

  • Experience in backend Java enterprise software system testing.

  • Hands-on experience in automating API (REST) testing.

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms.

  • Strong track record of working on large, complex projects and SDLC processes.

  • Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and Cassandra.

  • Ability to write, execute, and debug SQL queries for database validation.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Lead testing efforts in the payments, card issuing, and revolving credit domain.

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases in JUnit 5.

  • Prepare and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures.

  • Design, develop, and execute automation code.

  • Identify, record, document, and track bugs.

  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products.

  • Track quality assurance metrics and statistics.

  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and industry regulatory requirements.

  • Communicate technical information effectively to team members and customers of varying technical experience.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers on projects.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team’s success.
