As a Junior FP&A Analyst, you will play a hands-on role in delivering financial planning, analysis, and capital reporting support. This role sits at the core of how Capital.com measures performance, plans for the future, and ensures robust financial control of its capital expenditure.
You will contribute to both planning/reporting cycles and day-to-day accounting accuracy—giving you exposure to both commercial finance and foundational accounting. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone early in their finance career who is motivated by learning, impact, and strong analytical work in a high-growth fintech setting.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and rolling forecasts that align with business goals.
- Reporting & Variance Analysis: Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting by delivering variance analyses and meaningful commentary.
- Model Building: Maintain and improve financial models to support decision-making and scenario planning.
- KPI Reporting: Monitor key financial and operational KPIs and deliver insights to help business leaders make informed decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the business to gather, validate, and analyze financial inputs.
- Capital Asset Accounting: Assist with capital expenditure tracking, capitalization, depreciation, and related reconciliations.
- Audit Support: Prepare schedules and support the external audit process related to capital asset accounts.
- Asset Record Management: Maintain accurate and timely records of fixed asset transactions and collaborate with the Fixed Asset team to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Standards Implementation: Contribute to the implementation of accounting standards as they relate to asset management and reporting.
- Process Improvement: Identify and support the rollout of efficiency improvements in FP&A processes and tools.
Requirements
- Education & Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: 2–4 years in FP&A, financial analysis, or accounting roles, preferably in a fast-paced or high-growth business.
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical and analytical thinking with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills, including experience in building or maintaining financial models.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across teams and present findings confidently.
- Team Orientation: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
- Detail & Accuracy: Highly organized with a strong attention to detail in all reporting and reconciliations.
- Added Value: Experience with financial reporting systems and familiarity with IFRS is a plus.
