As a Frontend Engineer, you can work in a full-remote setup residing in Portugal and you’ll work on mixed tech stack based on a microservices architecture, entirely on Amazon Web Services, with open source libs like React and Next.
Are you someone who is craving scalable problems and dealing with optimizations? You’ll work with a creative, important, and well-organized team reporting into one of our Engineering Managers.
You will help teams to build experiences in one of the fastest and main marketplaces: Motors. The European Motors Team is developing the Vertical Motors Platforms for many valuable markets figuring many millions in revenue. Among our brands you can find Otomoto.pl in Poland, Autovit.ro in Romania and in Portugal, Standvirtual.com. You will help enable our organisation to scale efficiently.
What you will do:
- Build scalable platforms used by people around the globe while developing and maintaining products with billions of page views per month
- Solve technical challenges with engineers from other European offices, having a chance to accelerate your impact by delivering for millions of customers.
- Own the development process end-to-end, participating in product design discussions, writing and reviewing code, assuring quality and the strategy for the development
- Advocate for product quality, security, and performance improvements that have a impact across your team and others.
- Focus on delivery towards DevOps mentality contributing to the EU engineering community through our guilds
- Promote the discovery process by having access to the research panel
- Help shape OKRs alongside product managers
- Help our development team and operations assessment and resolving production issue
Who we’re looking for:
- Critical mindset. You will contribute to what needs to be done to achieve your pack goals.
- Able to effectively communicate in English complex technical concepts to different disciplines (designers, support team, other engineers). You will work with others and collaborate on technical decisions.
- You have experience with large-scale web applications with an economic thinking mindset.
- Passionate about TDD, and you’re not shy about it.
- 1+ years of experience building JavaScript apps (knowledge of React and Redux is welcome)
- Experience with Front end Architectures and focus on performance (server-side and client-side)
- Used to work with CI/CD practices, RESTful APIs, and AWS
