Job description
Currently, we are seeking a Junior QA Engineer with a solid foundation in web application testing and a passion for quality. In this role, you’ll be responsible for both manual and automated testing of modern web applications. You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers in an Agile team to ensure our software meets the highest standards. This is a great opportunity to use tools like Playwright and modern CI/CD practices to enhance your automation skills.
Your main tasks:
- Identify, document, and report defects clearly and concisely.
- Execute manual testing to verify functionality and usability of the application.
- Create and maintain test documentation.
- Participate in analyzing requirements to identify test scenarios and edge cases.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Assist in designing, writing, and maintaining test artifacts.
- Support retesting and regression testing activities.
- Investigate test automation failures and work on fixing them to maintain test integrity.
- Work on refactoring test automation code to improve the structure and readability of tests.
If you have:
- 1+ year of commercial experience in web application testing
- ISTQB Foundation Level certificate or similar
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Basic experience with REST APIs (Postman, Swagger, DevTools)
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Xray, TestRail)
- Experience with JIRA and Agile methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Git.
- Knowledge of at least one automated E2E testing framework, such as Playwright (preferred), WebdriverIO, Cypress, or similar.
- Basic skills in JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Good English skills.
- ISTQB Foundation Level certificate or similar.
