Job description
Founded in Vancouver, Canada in 2003, Plenty of Fish is one of the early pioneers in the online dating industry, with one of the largest and most diverse communities of singles. We’re one of the top revenue-driving brands in the Match Group (comprised of Tinder, OkCupid, Hinge and Match.com).
We love what we do, and have the ability to profoundly impact millions of people’s lives every single day! Named one of BC’s Top Employers, Plenty of Fish is a great place to build friendships, grow your career and collaborate with top talent.
We work hybrid at Plenty of Fish - IRL in our downtown Vancouver office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work remotely the remainder of the week! (Please note that there may be some roles that require more than 3 days.)
As a Lead Product Designer focused on engagement and monetization, you’ll shape how members interact with POF and discover value in our experiences. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, data, and design leadership to craft user-centric solutions that drive retention, increase subscriptions, and deepen member connection.
This is a hands-on role for a systems thinker, strong visual communicator, and impact-driven designer. You’ll report to the Product Design Team Lead (based in Vancouver) and collaborate and grow alongside a supportive, experienced design team that spans brands in our portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
- Design elegant, accessible, and scalable product experiences that support engagement and revenue growth across mobile and web
- Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and analysts to define problems, explore solutions, and ship thoughtful designs
- Own projects end to end—from early discovery and flows to prototypes and high-fidelity visuals
- Leverage user research and data to inform decisions and iterate with purpose
- Contribute to and evolve our design system for consistency and efficiency
- Participate in design reviews and critiques to elevate craft and clarity
We Could Be a Match if You Have:
- 6+ years of experience designing consumer-facing products—ideally in social, dating, or subscription-based apps
- A strong portfolio showcasing intuitive, impactful product design from concept to execution
- Solid grasp of UX principles, interaction design, and mobile-first best practices
- Proficiency in Figma (and other modern design tools)
- A data-informed mindset—comfortable using metrics, experiments, and research to guide design
- Excellent communication skills—you advocate for users and align teams around smart solutions
- Adaptability and focus—you thrive in agile environments with shifting priorities
$135,000 - $150,000 a year
