What we’re looking for

As a Lead Project Manager (Martech) at Massive Rocket, you will provide strategic leadership to our teams as they deploy cutting-edge CRM and Data solutions. You will be instrumental in setting the strategic direction by establishing comprehensive roadmaps, managing complex backlogs, and co-ordinating the efforts of multiple teams to drive client success. In this versatile role, not only will you manage your own team, you will also oversee two or more project teams within our Client CRM and Data Programmes, ensuring seamless cross-team coordination, effective resource management, and rigorous budget control. You will mentor and guide your teams, deliver regular high-quality status reports, and continuously enhance project delivery practices to retain and grow our client engagements.

Responsibilities

a) Delivery Dynamo

-Provide strategic oversight of project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.

-Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

-Uphold and refine Massive Rocket’s project management frameworks and best practices.

b) Roadmap Strategist

-Lead the proactive identification of new work streams and translate them into actionable project requirements.

-Prioritise tasks to ensure project roadmaps align with strategic business objectives.

-Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and predictable project roadmaps.

c) Risk Ranger

-Champion early identification and resolution of potential risks and issues.

-Implement robust mitigation strategies to ensure the stability and continuity of programmes.

-Provide strategic oversight to maintain a low risk profile across all projects.

d) Engagement Specialist

-Forge and nurture strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring their needs are fully understood and met.

-Oversee the timely and accurate reporting of project status, key metrics, and outcomes.

-Collaborate with data analysts for insightful performance reviews.

e) Agile Catalyst

-Drive and instil an agile mindset and methodology across project teams.

-Organise and lead regular high-quality project retrospectives with actionable outcomes.

-Monitor the adoption of agile practices and guide continuous process improvements.

f) Process Guru

-Optimise programme and project workflows in alignment with Massive Rocket’s agile philosophy.

-Identify and implement improvements that increase the throughput of project work items.

g) Solutions Specialist

-Act as a senior participant in sales discovery calls, assisting in the development of comprehensive Statements of Work (SoW) and project timelines.

-Lead resource planning, staffing, and timeline estimations to support new opportunities.

-Contribute to a high win rate on supported opportunities.

h) Team Mentor and Leader

-Mentor and coach junior Project Managers, sharing best practices and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

-Serve as the go-to expert for escalations, offering strategic guidance and support to ensure project success.

i) Team Management

-Oversee day-to-day team operations to ensure effective resource allocation and utilisation.

-Conduct regular 1-2-1s, performance reviews and facilitate professional development.

-Maintain open communication channels to foster collaboration and timely issue resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects in the MarTech or digital marketing space.

- At least 2 years in a leadership role managing and mentoring teams of Project Managers or related professionals.

- Minimum of 2 years of direct client-facing experience, demonstrating effective stakeholder management and relationship building.

- Proven ability to establish strategic roadmaps, manage backlogs, and coordinate multiple project teams to meet business objectives.

- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.

- Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) and a track record of driving agile adoption within teams.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse, distributed teams and the delivery of high-quality documentation and reports.

- Experience working in an agency setting, with an understanding of the fast-paced, dynamic nature of digital marketing and technology environments.

- A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to overcome challenges and deliver exceptional results.

- Excellent command of English (C1 level), ensuring clear, effective client-facing and internal communications.

- Knowledge and experience in digital consumer engagement, marketing automation, and familiarity with technologies such as Braze & Snowflake is a plus.

Bonus:

Previous experience working in MarTech.

Familiarity or a robust understanding of relevant technologies, such as Data Warehouses, CDPs, Machine Learning, CRM systems, and Loyalty Engines.
