We founded Gemini in 2015 as a cryptocurrency exchange and custodian, allowing people to buy, sell, and trade digital assets. We are publicly traded under the NASDAQ ticker GEMI.

Our platform supports over 70 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin and Solana. You can fund your account using bank transfers, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or debit cards.

We also offer advanced trading features like Perpetual Contracts with up to 100x leverage. Our Tokenized Stocks let you trade U.S. stocks onchain without fees. With Gemini Staking®, you can earn up to 6% APR on assets like Solana and Ethereum. Active traders can use the Gemini ActiveTrader® platform, and the Gemini Wallet® provides onchain access to Web3. We also provide Gemini Institutional services for institutions.

We operate as a full-reserve and regulated entity. We hold ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification. We were also the first crypto exchange and custodian globally to get SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 certifications, which Deloitte examined.

In Europe, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) authorizes us under MiCA to provide regulated crypto services across the EU. We are also authorized under MiFID II to offer crypto derivatives and tokenized stocks to institutions and traders. Gemini Intergalactic EU, Ltd. provides crypto assets and staking services (though staking is not regulated). Gemini Intergalactic EU Artemis, Ltd. offers Perpetuals and Tokenized Stocks.

Our executive team includes Tyler Winklevoss as CEO and Cameron Winklevoss as President. Other leaders include Marshall Beard (Chief Operating Officer), Dan Chen (Chief Financial Officer), Tyler Meade (Chief Legal Officer), Chris Mariadason (Chief Compliance Officer), and Jeff Tiller (VP & Chief of Staff).

We have a hybrid work policy, with our headquarters in the Cloud. Our physical offices are in New York City, Seattle, Miami, Singapore, London, Dublin, Sydney, Sliema, Scottsdale, San Francisco, and Tempe. This approach combines in-person collaboration with remote work flexibility. Employees in hub offices usually work partly in the office. Those not near hubs are part of our remote workforce.
