Here’s a quick overview of what you will be doing:
Lead Software Engineer
We’re growing fast and are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help scale our platform, mentor a growing engineering team, and help drive innovation in logistics and AI/ML-powered automation.
What You’ll Do
- Own architecture and development for high-impact parts of the platform — including APIs, workflows, and internal tools.
- Lead feature delivery from start to finish — scoping, implementation, review, and deployment.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data to bring ideas to life.
- Mentor other engineers, set technical standards, and drive engineering best practices.
- Work on applied AI/ML features like intelligent provider selection, refund automation, and order prediction.
- Help shape Burq’s technical roadmap and contribute to a high-performance engineering culture.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
- Strong skills in backend systems (e.g., Python, Node.js, or similar), API design, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience building and scaling production-grade web applications or platforms.
- Exposure to applied AI/ML in product environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Comfort with fast-paced, agile, and startup-style environments.
