Job Description
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer to run the engineering side of the Pricing sub-team. It offers the opportunity to work in the high profile variable pricing space, work with a range of stakeholders, and evolve the AI/ML aspects of the pricing system.
This will be a challenging role that incorporates:
- System architecture – design the systems that meet your team’s remit
- Technical leadership – ensure that the systems being built meet SEEKs high standards
- Delivery management – foster a culture of rapid delivery and ensure the team stays aligned to agreed roadmaps and timelines
- People management – provide line management and grow the engineers in your team
- Cross functional team building – play a part in building a high performing team of engineers, data scientists and product managers
- Stakeholder management – work with your peers from data science and product management, as well as stakeholders from across the business, to contribute to system designs and other key decisions
- Commercial partnership – work with the Commercial team and build AI powered product to help meet SEEKs revenue goals.
Qualifications
Technical Skills
While this role involves leadership, strong technical skills and experience are essential. We will consider applications from people who may not be a perfect match for our tech stack – but are willing to learn. It is important to have a strong background in backend software engineering (10+ years of experience) and a keen interest in data engineering and delivery management.
Ideally you will have experience with the following:
- Python
- Data pipelines
- SQL
- Spark/Databricks
- AWS
- Java
- CI/CD and DevOps
- ML pipelines
Additional Information
The Team
Pricing and Performance is a large team and is responsible for solving some of the most exciting and challenging problems for SEEK. You will join a team of 40 data scientist, engineers, and product managers working across three problems spaces. This role is within the Pricing space.
