Job description
We are looking for a Leadership Operations Partner to join our growing Product team at Leonardo. In this newly created role, you will act as a trusted partner and “right hand” to our Chief Product Officer, enabling them to operate at maximum effectiveness across the business. This is a rare opportunity to shape how Product leadership operates at scale, helping to steer some of the most strategic decisions in the company.
Think of yourself as a strategic enabler: ensuring the CPO and founder, along with the Product leadership team are aligned, focused, and set up for success. You will drive operational rhythms, lead critical initiatives, and amplify the CPO’s impact across Leonardo, whilst helping to also build and scale the operational function across the business.
The CPO has the support of an EA and you will not be required to manage their emails or calendar.
What You’ll Do
Drive strategic operations: partner with the CPO to deliver strategic plans, goals and quarterly business reviews.
Enable execution: review and manage operating rhythms (e.g., leadership meetings, planning cycles, cross-functional checkpoints) that drive clarity and accountability.
Amplify communication: ensure seamless communication and flow of information within the Product team and between key stakeholders and departments across Leonardo.
Champion process excellence: design and optimise processes that streamline decision-making, improve collaboration, and remove friction for product managers and product leadership.
Support organisational health: help shape team rituals, offsites, onboarding, and learning initiatives that foster an engaged, high-performing Product team.
Be a trusted partner: act as a thought partner to the CPO and Product leadership, helping to anticipate needs, flag risks, and find solutions early.
Drive operational standards: align with the broader ops team on operational best practices (reporting, processes etc) and be an advocate for executional delivery across the business.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in Product Operations, Program Management, Business Operations, Strategy, or similar roles.
Strong strategic thinking and operational execution skills — you can flex up to see the big picture and flex down to fine tune the details.
Exceptional organisational and communication skills; you can synthesise complexity into clear, actionable insights.
A builder’s mindset: comfortable setting up new projects, iterating, and scaling what works.
A collaborative approach with the ability to influence through strong relationships at every level of the team and company.
