About Teaching Lab
We are a nonprofit, founded in 2015, that works to close the educational opportunity gap through teacher-led professional learning. We identify teacher-leaders, recruit their colleagues, and help them improve instruction for underserved students.
We offer an effective and scalable alternative to traditional professional development. Our model, rooted in cognitive science and education research, focuses on Teacher Leadership, Core Content, and Iterative Cycles of Inquiry.
We specialize in curriculum-based professional learning using our evidence-based “Head, Heart, and Habits” model. We deliver research-driven, curriculum-aligned, customized professional learning. Our approach has impacted 1.9 million students nationwide; 65% of them qualify for Free or Reduced-Price Lunch.
We partner with 200 schools and districts across 30 states. We also explore how AI can integrate into education, offering tools like TeachingLab.ai to support educators with instructional planning and coaching.
