⭐ Role Overview
We’re looking for a pragmatic, business-minded In-House Legal Counsel to own and manage our legal function at Lodgify. As we continue to scale globally, this role will be instrumental in ensuring legal compliance, mitigating risks, and driving operational efficiency across all departments.
You’ll be the company’s go-to legal expert, providing practical and hands-on support while helping us grow responsibly.
⭐ How will you make an impact?
- Be the go-to person for legal questions across the company, from quick contract reviews to helping teams navigate compliance issues.
- Support corporate governance: board paperwork, entity updates, and ensuring we’re on top of our obligations across different countries.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with vendors and partners — balancing risk with business needs.
- Help us comply with local and international laws, especially related to the short-term rental industry.
- Own our data privacy program (with support from external advisors) — making sure we’re aligned with GDPR and keeping user data safe.
- Identify potential legal risks and propose actionable recommendations to limit exposure, aligned with business goals.
- Translate legal requirements into clear and actionable guidance for internal teams, including Sales, Product, Finance, and People.
- Draft, update, and implement company policies (e.g., data protection, compliance, supplier code of conduct) in line with evolving laws and practices.
- Coordinate with external counsel when needed, keeping things efficient and cost-effective.
