About The Internship:
As our 2025 Legal Intern you will support key strategic and legal priorities under the guidance of our legal team. You will have the opportunity to conduct research on complex topics at the intersection of health and social care, develop relationships with internal stakeholders to understand and advise on cross-functional opportunities, and provide clear and actionable guidance to team leads. You will also have the opportunity to participate in in-depth training to learn more about the role of an in-house legal and compliance team, including training on drafting and negotiating standard commercial agreements, managing compliance matters, conducting corporate and commercial due diligence, and engaging in regulatory research and writing.
This is an 8-week summer internship class, starting on 9⁄2 or 9⁄8.
What You’ll Do:
● Research best practices and conduct research on various legal questions at the intersection of health and social care
● Review commercial agreements including non-disclosure agreements, master cloud services agreements, and vendor agreements
● Conduct research and prepare and deliver presentations for team leads
● Develop and update training materials and other documentation on legal and regulatory matters
● Participate in regular meetings with the Unite Us Legal and Compliance team
You’re a great fit for this Internship if:
● You are currently completing a JD degree at an ABA accredited law school
● You have experience or interest in healthcare technology, intellectual property, commercial agreements, product development, data privacy, regulatory law, and compliance
● You are able to work proactively and collaboratively
● You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with good written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
● Familiarity with or ability to quickly learn software technologies such as Google Suite, Zoom, Slack, HubSpot, Asana, etc.
