As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building and optimizing programs in Marketo that support both demand generation campaigns and core marketing operations. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, you’ll focus on hands-on campaign execution aligned with our shift toward more targeted, account-focused marketing initiatives. As part of a small and collaborative team, you’ll work closely with the Senior Manager to apply best practices, refine automation workflows, and ensure high-quality, data-driven campaign delivery. You’ll focus primarily on building and launching email campaigns, while also stepping in to support core marketing operations when needed. We’re looking for someone who brings precision to their work and proactively looks for ways to enhance marketing performance through thoughtful execution.
You will:
Build and maintain marketing automation programs, emails, landing pages, forms, smart campaigns, and segmentations in Marketo while adhering to established standards and best practices
Work with the Senior Manager, and cross-functionally within and across departments, to design and optimize nurture programs that drive engagement, accelerate funnel progression, and meet campaign goals
Conduct thorough QA reviews on Marketo programs and assets to ensure accuracy, proper functionality, and alignment with brand, messaging, and audience targeting
Manage campaign timelines and deliverables using Wrike, ensuring projects are completed on schedule and aligned with goals
Monitor and report campaign performance, identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and make data-informed recommendations to improve results
Help monitor marketing email inboxes—respond to inquiries, triage messages to relevant teams, and manage auto-reply cleanup; audit Drift Email processing to confirm accurate updates to contact records
Contribute to the development and maintenance of process documentation and QA checklists to support consistent, high-quality campaign execution
Support the broader team with core marketing operations tasks as needed (e.g., data management, lead management, workflow optimization)
Participate in company-wide initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 4 years of experience in marketing operations or demand generation, ideally within B2B SaaS or enterprise environments
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience using an enterprise marketing automation platform (Marketo preferred)
Proficiency in using Salesforce or like-CRM systems to support integrated marketing and campaign tracking
Advanced understanding of lifecycle marketing automation concepts and email communication strategies
Knowledge of email best practices, deliverability improvements, and compliance standards
Comfortable with HTML and CSS to edit email and landing page templates
Experience with troubleshooting systems, processes, and data issues
Proficiency with Excel or similar tools for formatting lists, reviewing data, and conducting light analysis
Ability to travel up to 10% to the Seattle office for department meetings and MCG-sponsored events
Proven critical thinking skills—able to connect business goals, campaign logic, and data flow to identify opportunities and solve complex problems
Consistently produces high-quality, accurate work by applying a detail-oriented mindset and strong ownership over execution
Comfortable questioning assumptions and asking thoughtful questions to uncover root causes
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; able to evaluate issues from multiple perspectives and make sound decisions
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
Certifications
- Marketo Certified Expert (MCE) preferred

Pay Range: $80,000 – 105,000
