We provide evidence-based guidelines and artificial intelligence solutions to healthcare organizations worldwide. Our decision support tools help improve outcomes and benchmark performance in workers’ compensation, non-occupational disability, auto injury coverage, and general health insurance. For workers’ comp, disability, and auto injury, we offer ODG by MCG, a complete guideline solution.

We develop clinical guidelines by impartially reviewing scientific literature and data, integrating these with our software and analytics. Thousands of hospitals, most U.S. health plans, and many state and federal government agencies license our solutions.

Our offerings include Treatment Guidelines, Disability Duration Guidelines, Evidence Based Medicine, Claim Risk/Reserving Benchmarks, Cost Modeling, Predictive analytics, and impairment determination criteria. For example, Indicia Synapse reportedly reduced utilization review time to 78 seconds and unnecessary payer denials by 56% for a major hospital system. Another product, Indicia Focus, protected $44 million in hospital revenue in a sample study.

MCG Health was founded in 1995 and acquired by the Hearst Corporation in 2012, later becoming part of the Hearst Health network. We are committed to ethical data use and reducing bias in our solutions.

We have between 201 and 500 employees. Since March 2020, almost all of us work remotely or in a hybrid model. Our headquarters are in Seattle’s Columbia Center, and we have a second office in San Diego. The new Seattle office is designed for collaboration and innovation.
