SERVICE: Telehealth Business Support VA
EXPERIENCE LEVEL: Senior-Advanced
HOURS/WEEK: 40 hours
SHIFT TIME ZONE: PST
SHIFT HOURS: 8AM-5PM
SHIFT DAYS: Monday-Friday

Responsibilities
Data Entry: Accurately input patient information, billing details, and insurance claims into the system.
Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits before appointments or procedures.
Patient Communication: Answer patient inquiries via phone or email, providing assistance with billing questions, insurance concerns, and payment options.
Payment Processing: Assist patients in making payments, process transactions, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Claims Management: Support the submission, tracking, and follow-up of insurance claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
Administrative Support: Maintain organized records, update patient accounts, and assist with other billing-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Experience in medical billing, insurance verification, or healthcare administration.
Familiarity with medical billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle patient and clientsβ inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
Tools & Software Used
- Familiarity with medical billing software (e.g., Kareo, AdvancedMD, eClinicalWorks) is a plus.
- Also familiarity with contact center software is preferable
