Job description
We’re looking for a talented Frontend Engineer with user interface experience to join our core team. You’ll help our client to build and scale a modern web application by writing clean, scalable code and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve our software.
Our client is a fast-growing SaaS + AI startup backed by top investors (Techstars San Diego 2024 + more). They have developed a robust cloud-based HVAC design platform that significantly reduces the cost and time required to develop mechanical designs. We’re a small team of experienced engineers who understand the problem we solve deeply and iterate quickly.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and test software features using React and Typescript
Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to architecture decisions
Build and maintain scalable backend infrastructure using Firebase and related technologies
Own projects from design to deployment
Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements
Move fast and communicate clearly in a small team environment
2+ years of frontend experience working with user interface.
Proven working experience with React and Typescript
Solid understanding of UI/UX principles, performance optimization, and web security
Excellent communication skills
Passion for creating exceptional user experiences
Self-motivated and able to work independently while making sound technical decisions
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent jokes in your back pocket to keep us laughing
Strong portfolio that shows you can thrive in this role
Nice to Haves
Background in AEC, HVAC, or building systems
Experience building design tools like CAD or EDA software
Familiarity with data visualization libraries
Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
Vacation: 10 business days a year
Holidays: 5 National Holidays a year
