About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to support our end-to-end U.S. payroll operations using Workday Payroll and OneSource Virtual (OSV) for tax processing and filing. This role will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate payroll processing, compliance with federal and state regulations, and coordination with external partners to manage tax activities and reporting.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of U.S. payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll is required.
  • Familiarity with OneSource Virtual (OSV) payroll tax services, including tax filing and amendment processes (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of U.S. payroll tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and pre/post-tax deductions.
  • Proficient in Excel and payroll reporting tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
  • Experience supporting Workday payroll implementations or enhancements.
  • Exposure to international payrolls or coordination with global payroll providers is a plus.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process biweekly and/or semi-monthly U.S. payrolls in Workday, including validation, auditing, and reconciliation of payroll data.
  • Partner with OSV to coordinate payroll tax filings, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate federal, state, and local tax submissions.
  • Review Workday-generated payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and tax withholding summaries for accuracy.
  • Maintain and audit employee records, pay elements, and tax setups in Workday.
  • Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll, earnings statements, tax withholdings, and Workday self-service functions.
  • Support year-end activities including W-2 review, balancing, and reconciliation in collaboration with OSV.
  • Monitor payroll tickets, tax notices, and amendments submitted to OSV, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with deadlines.
  • Assist with payroll-related projects such as system testing, implementation of new earnings/deductions codes, and process documentation.
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations, ensuring alignment with internal controls and best practices.

Additional Components: $72,000-$85,000 base salary

In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.

For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all roles based on function and level benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed below.
