Manager

Job description

Who We Are:

PE-backed start-up, DoseSpot is a dynamic and innovative leader in the electronic prescribing software market, and its subsidiary, pVerify, is an industry leading insurance verification solution. We are on a hyper-growth curve at the intersection of the software and healthcare industries. We need great team members to capitalize on these opportunities and improve the healthcare experience for patients and doctors alike. DoseSpot and pVerify have an exciting opportunity to join a fun and growing team, benefit from strong market tailwinds, and be part of an exciting opportunity to ensure mission-critical prescriptions and verifications are delivered on time and without error.

The Role:

We’re looking for a tech-forward, systems-savvy guru to join our scaling team as a People Ops Manager. This role is ideal for someone who geeks out about process improvement, automation, and delivering a seamless employee experience—while also bringing hands-on experience managing benefits programs in a multi-state, remote-first environment.

This is a high-autonomy, individual contributor role, reporting to the Head of People. You’ll execute and optimize the core infrastructure that powers our People team: systems, compliance processes, vendor coordination, data hygiene, and knowledge management. You won’t just maintain systems – you’ll continuously level them up. You’ll collaborate regularly with the People Ops Generalist in India as well as cross-functional partners in the U.S., including a Talent Partner, Finance, and IT.

Preferred Location: Remote – Washington, DC metro area preferred. Will also consider applicants in the following states: CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, TN, TX, VA

What you’ll do:

Benefits Program & Partnership Management

  • Oversee execution of U.S. benefits and leave programs (health & wellness, 401(k), HSA/FSA/DCA, LOA) in partnership with Sequoia, Betterment, Rippling, and Tilt; manage escalations and ensure smooth internal workflows.

  • Manage the lifecycle of key People Ops partners and platforms (Rippling, Sequoia, Tilt, Betterment).

  • Maintain SOPs, handbooks, and audit-ready documentation; ensure compliance across 30+ U.S. states in coordination with Rippling’s ASO

  • Support Open Enrollment and compliance filings (e.g., ACA, 5500) in collaboration with Sequoia

  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and IT on access controls, audits, and risk mitigation

  • Coordinate immigration workflows with external counsel and internal stakeholders

Systems, Automation & Knowledge Management

  • Own end-to-end execution of People Ops processes (i.e. US benefits admin, employee life-cycle).

  • Serve as Notion and SharePoint admin; maintain knowledge hubs and ensure documentation is up to date

  • Monitor and respond to inquiries from various POPs communication channels (i.e. slack, email).

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and automate tasks across the People tech-stack .

  • Support tool evaluations and implementations, including AI-enabled platforms that boost operational efficiency.

People Analytics & Reporting

  • Deliver recurring and ad hoc reports (e.g. headcount, attrition, workforce demographics).

  • Build dashboards and reporting cadences for Finance, Talent, and executive leadership

  • Ensure data integrity across platforms and support insights that inform business decisions.

What you’ll bring:

  • At least 5 years of People Ops experience, including 1+ year of direct benefits administration and experience in startups and scaling orgs. (We are currently 110 employees in the US and 30 in India.)

  • Experience operating in a remote-first company without a PEO is required.

  • Strong working knowledge of multi-state U.S. employment compliance (e.g. EEO-1, FLSA classification). We partner with Rippling for ASO but you’ll still drive execution.

  • Highly tech-savvy—you enjoy configuring tools, automating workflows, and integrating systems.

  • Advanced skills in Google Sheets/Excel (XLOOKUP, pivot tables, dashboards, data integrity).

  • Experience with systems like Rippling, Tilt, Sequoia and Notion – or ability to learn them quickly.

  • Proven project management and attention to documentation hygiene.

  • Excellent written communication and digital organization skills.

  • Experience working with distributed teams across different cultures and time zones.

  • Ability to apply a broad range of HR concepts to complex projects with minimal oversight—your work will be reviewed for soundness, not direction.

Benefits & Perks:

🌍Remote work environment with a flexible work schedule to encourage work-life balance

✈Annual company offsite

🌴Generous leave package including flexible time off policy that encourages team members to take time off to relax and recharge; plus 13 paid holidays, paid sick leave, and paid parental leave

💙 Medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family, plus a company funded FSA & HSA (dependent on which medical plan you choose)

💰401(k) company match

💸One-time workspace reimbursement to help you optimize your remote workspace
