About The Client:
Our client is a dynamic production design agency specializing in servicing Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) companies of various sizes. Their team delivers high-quality production design services across a broad spectrum of marketing and packaging materials. We’re looking to expand our client’s team with a talented Production Designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is excited to work on a wide range of design tasks.
Job Overview:
This position will work closely with the Director of Design and other team members to execute production design projects that span technical packaging layouts, marketing assets, and more. This position requires a broad understanding of design principles for both print and digital media. The ideal candidate will have experience in technical design work, a solid grasp of file types, vector and raster graphics, and the ability to adapt quickly to tight schedules and changing client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist with packaging design, technical layout, and pre-press preparation for both print and digital formats.
● Create photorealistic mockups to visually represent final packaging and marketing materials, often using existing templates.
● Execute and/or iterate marketing assets including social media content, email templates, and web assets based on a client brief and often a completed design strategy.
● Produce ready-to-print files for materials such as sell sheets, price lists, table tents, postcards, and event/installation ephemera.
● Collaborate with the Director of Design and the broader team to meet client needs and ensure high-quality outputs.
● Interface with clients professionally to understand project requirements and provide updates.
● Manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while ensuring fast turnaround times.
● Prepare and organize design files for print, working with print vendors to ensure correct file specifications.
● Communicate effectively and professionally with both clients and internal team members, particularly with regard to file preparation and design considerations.
- At least 5 to 10 years of experience in print design and preparation for print (e.g., understanding bleed, trim, and color modes).
- Fluency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is a must. Experience with InDesign and/or Figma preferred.
- Experience in digital design for basic sales and marketing assets including but not limited to web assets, social media assets, email layouts, static ads.
- Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive) and file-sharing platforms such as Dropbox, WeTransfer, and Google Drive.
- Experience with project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Monday is preferred.
- Fluency and strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to adapt quickly to tight deadlines and fast-paced client requirements.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple design tasks and deadlines from a variety of clients.
- Portfolio showcasing your experience with packaging and marketing design assets.
- Previous experience working with CPG companies or within agencies that service CPG companies.
Other Details:
Location: This is a remote-only position. Candidates must be available to work in Pacific Standard Time (9am-5pm PST) with some flexibility once fully trained.
Contract Type: Independent contractor, 40 hours per week.
Compensation: Paid weekly.
Work Environment: You will be working directly with our client’s Director of Design, collaborating with a team of designers and project managers. We offer a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Client Relationship: You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
Payment: All payments for your services will be handled directly by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
Vacation Leaves and Holidays: While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
Salary: $1500 - $2000
