Job description

Description:

Our client is a boutique A/B testing and personalization consultancy founded in 2017, with remote operations based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Specializing in conversion rate optimization (CRO), user research, and UX design, the agency partners with mission-driven e-commerce brands in sectors like outdoor gear, lifestyle, and wellness to enhance digital experiences and drive measurable growth. Recognized by Inc. as a 2024 Power Partner, our client is known for its values-driven approach, emphasizing ethical collaboration, clear communication, and a commitment to meaningful, high-impact work.

Role Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer (L3) to join our team — someone who thrives on solving complex problems, mentoring others, and making meaningful technical decisions. You’ll bring deep technical expertise, especially in SPA frameworks and accessibility, and play a key role in shaping engineering culture and architecture decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead high-impact engineering initiatives with autonomy and efficiency.
  • Tackle complex problems and map out scalable, reusable technical solutions.

Support and mentor L1 and L2 engineers, helping them level up through code reviews and debugging support.

  • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the broader engineering culture at Surefoot.
  • Use your expertise to determine feasibility of testing tools and ensure accessibility best practices in all projects.
  • Communicate technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Take ownership of your own growth while actively helping others grow too.

  • Expertise in modern web technologies and strong knowledge of emerging tools and systems.
  • 5+ years experience with SPA frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.); capable of resolving deep framework-specific issues.
  • Ability to determine if SPA bugs are internal or client-side (non-resolvable).
  • Familiarity with A/B testing tools; able to assess tools based on project requirements.
  • Solid understanding of accessibility standards, including ARIA roles, focus management, and semantic HTML.
  • Proficient in NPM and able to contribute bug fixes or new features as needed.
  • Experience using advanced browser devtools (inline debugging, call stacks, etc.).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and enthusiasm for mentoring and team collaboration.

Nice to have:

  • Experience communicating accessibility issues early in the design process.
  • Proven track record of influencing engineering decisions and mentoring others into experts.

A reputation for getting things done and making teammates better.

  • Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
  • Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
  • Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.

Salary : $2000-$3500/month

Timezone: EST
