About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project / Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) team. This role will focus on driving project delivery and operational excellence across software product engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies, solid experience in project and release planning, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, release planning, and execution for multiple software product line initiatives.
- Work closely with Product Management, Engineering, QA, and Customer Success teams to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Apply Agile and Scrum best practices to manage sprints and improve team productivity.
- Establish and manage effective scope management, ensuring timely delivery of prioritized features.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Implement quality management practices to drive engineering excellence.
- Define and track software engineering metrics to assess and improve team performance and product quality.
- Foster a collaborative environment and ensure transparent communication across teams and stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
- Address complex project issues by working closely with team members and resolving roadblocks.
Key Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in the software industry, with at least 2+ years in project management roles. However, the experience limit can be lowered for candidates with good Project Management skills.
- Strong exposure to Agile and Scrum practices; prior experience in Software Product companies preferred.
- Proven track record in project planning, release management, risk management, scope management, and quality management.
- Hands-on experience with using software engineering metrics to drive performance improvement.
- PMP and/or Scrum Master certification is a strong plus.
- Previous experience managing solutions built on Java and Python technology stacks is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills—ability to communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team collaboration.
