This role works closely with the Head of Girls’ Education initiative and is responsible for building learning experiences, developing the leadership of teaching participants, alumni, and network partners in advocating for and delivering high-quality girls’ education, and curating resources and programmatic insights in order to support our network partner organizations, participants, alumni, students, and other stakeholders.

This role will engage with partners’ staff, fellows, and alumni to build strong insights, practices, and mindsets in the areas of girls’ education, gender-responsive pedagogy, combating gender bias in partnership with communities, and becoming gender advocates. This role sits in the Global Partnerships and Resources team, which comprises other Global Initiatives and a subgrants team, and reports to the Head of Girls Education.

As the Program Manager of Girls’ Education, you are responsible for:

Capacity Building and Program Development

  • Lead design and delivery of the flagship Global Girls’ Education Fellowship and online course, which supports hundreds of participants, partner staff, alumni, and other constituents across the Teach For All network to develop their knowledge, skills, and mindset to support girls’ education and gender equity
  • Drive the design and delivery of courses related to Girls’ Education and gender equity for Teach For All’s emergent Global Institute
  • Support and facilitate in-person learning experiences and program development that is responsive to partners’ needs

Community and Partnerships Building

  • Collaborate across the global organization to promote shared ownership and deepened commitment to advancing girls’ education.
  • Lead the relaunch and ongoing development of the Global Girls’ Education Community of Practice to strengthen collective impact and foster meaningful engagement.
  • Cultivate a dynamic, interconnected network of gender equity advocates—including fellows, alumni, and partner organizations—to exchange local practices grounded in global learning.

Subject Expertise

  • Cultivate subject expertise in all topics related to intersectional girls’ education and gender equity, including global insights, best practices, global trends, and emergent research
  • Support the curation and dissemination of global insights by developing case studies, surfacing evidence, and managing the Girls’ Education Learning Resource Hub to ensure accessible and impactful knowledge sharing.

External Engagement

  • Elevate the voices and visibility of partners, teachers, alumni, and students leading impactful work in girls’ education.
  • Represent Teach For All’s Girls’ Education Initiative in media, public forums, and strategic external engagements, as appropriate.

Experiences and attributes needed to successfully live into the role:

  • In efforts to be more inclusive, equitable, and core value aligned, we no longer require education credentials
  • 5-6 years of relevant work experience, including experience in girls’ education or gender equity, required
  • Deep and broad understanding of Teach For All’s mission and programmatic approach
  • Prior experience with one of our network partner organizations, either as a participant or staff member, is strongly preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial organization as part of a collaborative and committed team
  • Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues globally, including a high volume of virtual engagement (i.e., conference calls, social media, virtual collaboration tools) and regular calls during non-traditional working hours
  • Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders from a range of cultures and understand their goals and motivations in order to drive effective operations
  • Must have sensitivity toward racial, cultural, and ideological diversity
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to change.
  • Exemplifies Teach For All’s core values and a commitment to Teach For All’s mission:
    • Reflects a sense of possibility in mindset and vision
    • Believes in the value of being locally rooted and globally informed

About Teach For All

Teach For All is a global network of 60 independent, locally led and governed partner organizations and a global organization committed to developing collective leadership to ensure all children fulfill their potential. Each network partner recruits and develops promising future leaders to teach in their nations’ under-resourced schools and communities and, with this foundation, to work with others, inside and outside of education, to ensure all children are able to fulfill their potential. Teach For All’s global organization works to increase the network’s impact by capturing and spreading learning, facilitating connections among partners, accessing global resources, and fostering the leadership development of partner staff, teachers, and alumni.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusiveness

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive organization that inspires individuals of all backgrounds – across nationalities, races, ethnicity, religions, political views, economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, physical disabilities, languages, ages, genders and prior experiences – to bring their full selves to the work of ensuring educational opportunity for all.

In order to maximize our effectiveness in fulfilling Teach For All’s mission, we also feel it is important to focus on increasing representation and inclusiveness with respect to two dimensions in particular: we prioritize diversity of geography because this can help us quickly understand and connect with the diverse cultures and geographies of the world. We also prioritize increasing the representation and inclusiveness of team members who themselves have experienced the inequities we’re working to address by nature of sharing the background (e.g. economic, racial and ethnic, religious) of the most disadvantaged groups in their countries.
