About the Role:

As a remote QA Automation Engineer, you will ensure the quality of various Information Technology projects at Dynatron Software. You will operate as an individual contributor as well as providing guidance and support to other QA team members. You’ll help to define and implement processes, and best practices to ensure a consistent testing methodology across projects. This role also requires a fair amount of manual testing per project demands, writing test plans and test cases, taking part in peer reviews and participating in design sessions. This role requires a good understanding of web applications, web services, databases and test automation technologies as well as exceptional people skills to develop relationships across multiple internal departments.

Qualified Candidates Need:

  • 6+ years Software QA Automation Engineer experience with a thorough understanding of QA methodology in manual and automated testing of Web UI and API using Postman, Selenium, Rest Assured and other tools
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in JAVA
  • 6+ years working experience in Agile development methodologies, Change Management, Change Control, and Compliance methodologies
  • 6+ years performing unit testing, automated testing and regression testing of all software, load testing, and performance testing
  • 6+ years experience understanding and testing in an environment that includes SQL-based databases, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, .NET, XML, and JSON
  • 6+ years experience writing test plans, test cases, executing on test plans, and documenting and communicating test results
  • 3+ years experience testing databases by writing, executing and troubleshooting sql queries.
  • Ability to troubleshoot system problems, determine root cause, recommend and implement solutions
  • Flexible, able to multi-task, context switch, and manage prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal skills, ability to communicate information in clear and concise language to a wide audience varying in levels of technical expertise
  • Aptitude for learning new concepts and procedures
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills

Bonus if you also have:

  • Experience with automation platforms such as JMeter, Selenium or others.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in the team review of product definitions, requirements, design specifications, defect review and prioritization with other members from the QA, Development and Project Management departments
  • Offer advice and insight on system/ application requirements and the associated effort required for quality assurance
  • Work with product teams to optimize release process and strategy
  • Execute on QA testing methodologies, best practices, manual testing, automated testing, and regression testing to ensure code is functioning as defined
  • Support an automated test strategy that exercises end-user workflows and provides a framework for on-going performance/load tests
  • Evaluate and implement automated test tools where appropriate. Implement automated regression, stress, and load testing methodologies
  • Prepare test plans and test cases to ensure the product adheres to the system/application requirements
  • Ensure that QA test scripts follow established standards, fully exercise targeted functionality, and are technically sound and executed properly in all phases of testing
  • Analyze testing output based upon predefined input. Track and report test results to management, in the form of metrics
  • Work with product developers and IT Team to resolve defects
  • Provide management level status updates on assigned initiatives
  • Working with peers within the organization, enhance, document, formalize, and maintain the Product Development Lifecycle and Agile Framework
  • Coordinate the testing environments as it pertains to project timelines
