We have an exciting opportunity to join our QC team in Manila and are currently looking for a QC Subject Matter Expert to join the team.
The QC Subject Matter Expert will ensure that, at all times, testing efforts support VGW OKRs (Objectives and Key results).
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that, at all times, testing efforts support VGW OKRs (Objectives and Key results).
- Follow the test processes and test methodology set by the Test Lead. At the same time, provide feedback for test process improvement. Reviews team’s test outputs and provides recommendations.
- Get involved in defect prevention during the earlier stage of SDLC via collaboration with the product and development team.
- Ensure that the product delivered is Production-ready with minimal to no defects after functional testing.
- Provide information to internal/external stakeholders about test results in order to address risks and concerns before releasing the product into Production.
- Keep all test documentation and test scripts up to date for all products.
- Have exhibited skills equivalent to Advanced ISTQB certification.
- Work on more complicated work, or work that may not yet follow an established test procedure, which would then be reviewed by Test Lead.
- Perform other deliverables and outcomes as directed by the COMPANY from time to time.
What you will bring to the role:
- A sound understanding of the fundamental test process with experience in planning, coordinating and executing QA activities within a development team
- Experience using JIRA as a project and defect tracking tool. JIRA & Confluence experience is a plus
- Experience testing cross-browser, cross-device and accessibility testing
- Relevant testing qualifications combined with at least 3 years of test experience: server testing
- Experience working in Agile teams and/or any gaming industry, computer gaming and/or a design and product environment would be an added bonus
- Experience working in distributed teams across multiple time zones.
We primarily operate in a remote work environment; however, we appreciate a flexible approach with regards to travel to Metro Manila if required on occasion. Any changes to our remote work arrangement will be communicated with ample notice.
