Summary Description
The Revenue Cycle Manager role plays an intricate part in providing operational leadership, analytical expertise, and personnel management while identifying workflow issues and providing solutions to optimize RCM operations. With sharp attention to detail, the Revenue Cycle Manager would discern client problems and communicate/escalate root cause issues to appropriate parties. The Revenue Cycle Manager must be able to proactively monitor daily workflow and staff productivity while adhering to Infinx’s key revenue performance and quality metrics.
This role will report directly to the Vice President of Acute Care Services. As a member of Infinx Management Team you will be responsible for assisting in the management of daily operational processes for your clients and lead weekly meetings with client executive stakeholders, providing them with status updates demonstrating success, escalating barriers, as well as plans for operational changes and financial performance and projections. To be successful in this role, you must be able to communicate well with client executive leaders and address any and all of their questions as well as successful manage a team of coders, billers, and collectors.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct a staff of coders, billers, and collectors
- Manage billed AR and denials to ensure customer contractual SLAs are met consistently
- Maintain a relationship with all internal teams and customers
- Participate and represent Infinx on corporate projects and initiatives
- Design, improve, and execute customer processes and workflows
- Develop and implement recommendations and provide formal feedback on project results and team performance
- Create detailed reports for Infinx and client leadership, including reports highlighting Infinx performance for the client, reports that identify actionable opportunities for improvement, and ad-hoc reports/presentations that address client questions accurately and professionally with data visualizations
- Lead weekly meetings with client executives providing status updates with a reporting dashboard and professional organization
- Maintain confidentiality of all information under HIPAA guidelines and customer confidentiality agreements
- Support new customer expansion development and implementation
- Serve as a mentor to current team by providing education, coaching, and performance management
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- 5-7 years’ experience in managing back-end revenue cycle teams in a hospital/physician enterprise or health care outsourcing environment
- Cerner and/or Epic Revenue Cycle Management Knowledge
- Athena Revenue Cycle Management Knowledge
- Strong organizational skills
- Takes initiative to complete tasks rapidly and accurately
- Strong analytics/data science skills
- Experienced leading and managing remote employees in a high contact center environment
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks while remaining self-directed
- Must have experience managing the revenue cycle for acute care hospitals, which includes professional billing and collections
Preferred Skills
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college
- Certified revenue cycle management experience
- Prior continuous improvement experience utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools
- Higher preference for candidates who meet the Desired Qualifications
