Position Title: Hospital/Facility Revenue Cycle Manager

Reports to: Director of Facility operations

Location: Remote

This robust infusion of expert service line offerings has resulted in MedHQ and MedHQ clients’ efficiencies and growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong, long-lasting relationships.
    • Understand client goals, challenges, and operational policies to tailor our services effectively.
    • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review performance metrics, discuss strategies, and address any concerns.
    • Develop strategic account plans to maximize client satisfaction and retention.
  • Revenue Cycle Management:
    • Oversee end-to-end revenue cycle operations, charge capture, coding, billing, denial management, and collections.
    • Implement best practices to enhance revenue capture, reduce outstanding accounts receivables, and improve overall cash flow.
    • Regularly monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, payer policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of revenue cycle specialists, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to optimize workflow and ensure seamless service delivery.
    • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career progression.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with the client’s financial and operational goals.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to innovate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and accuracy in revenue cycle processes.
    • Prepare and present detailed performance reports and strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders.
  • Issue Resolution:
    • Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting the revenue cycle processes, implementing corrective actions promptly.
    • Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure the swift resolution of operational challenges.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of physician and hospital billing and coding practices, reimbursement methodologies, and industry regulations.
  • Proven experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and experience in monitoring and improving revenue cycle metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with providers, administration, and team members.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements, such as HIPAA, and experience in implementing and enforcing compliance programs.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a supportive and effective management style.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas for improvement and drive process optimization.
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle software and healthcare billing systems.
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is a plus.
