At ProjectiveGroup we have a fast-growing and challenging portfolio of assignments as external compliance experts within the financial sector. We help them understand how and where the upcoming regulations have impact within their organization and help with remediations of gaps within existing regulatory guidelines.
You role
Your affinity & practical expertise with Risk & Compliance enables you to lead our clients throughout their regulatory challenges
In this role, you will drive programs/projects that cover the following:
- help financial institutions & financial market structures stay compliant. These can be existing parties but also new entrants (national and international).
- work individually as well as in a small team of talented colleagues. You exchange knowledge and support each other where necessary.
- are active at various types of institutions and thus gain (even more) knowledge of activities, processes, products and the associated (new) legislation.
- monitor and advise your clients and ensure that their entrepreneurship goes hand in hand with sound business operations that are compliant with laws and regulations and the supervisory practices of regulators NBB and FSMA.
- assist clients in contact moments with regulators (FSMA/NBB investigations, information requests, etc.).
- clients prepare for changes in legislation and draw up ‘best practices’ to help them in this respect.
- contribute to our internal product development aimed at simplifying the compliance cycle, preferably by developing and/or deploying digital tools.
Requirements
Which skills do you need to have ?
- demonstrable experience as a compliance officer (minimum 5-7 years of work experience);
- you are preferably a certified compliance expert (By Febelfin academy, ICA,etc.)
- you have knowledge of the activities of financial (market) institutions;
- you have up-to-date knowledge of relevant financial supervisory legislation
- you have a practical business-oriented attitude where tenacity and persuasiveness come naturally;
- you enjoy sharing knowledge and giving potential clients insight into solutions to problems and challenges
- you take initiative, seek cooperation with your colleagues, be able to set priorities and be proactive in liaising with customers
- You are fluent in French or Dutch
- You are fluent in English

- Previous advisory experience in one of the relevant risk & compliance domains (AML/DORA/ESG/PSD2/etc.)
