Job description

Duties

Under the supervision of the Vice President, IT Services, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ IT Services department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

1. Salesforce Administrationa. Serve as primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment

     b. Perform Salesforce configuration and customization to support process automation

     c. Handle all administrative functions including user account maintenance, reports and dashboards,

         workflows and other routine tasks

     d. Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests and projects

     e. Support processes promoting data integrity, data governance, and compliance

     f. Act as Security administrator and drive security architecture and data protection

     g. Work independently with members of the user community to define and document development

         requirements

     h. Develop and maintain effective documentation on configuration changes, integrations, and

         processes

2. Software Systems Administration

     a. Security Administration of major software systems used by organization

     b. Administration of managed packages, cloud-based SAAS and systems integrated with Salesforce

     c. Complete training or self-study to gain knowledge and/or certifications for new software systems to

     allow proper administration

     d. Lead and guide vendor engagement for enhanced services and support of systems

3. Training

     a. Communicate and train staff on new programs, upgrades and processes

     b. Help develop and maintain department policies, SOPs and documentation

4. Additional duties

     a. Remain current with industry related technology standards and best practices

     b. Participate in strategy planning and implement solutions for new or improved IT infrastructure and

         software systems

     c. Vendor management for outsourced services and support of IT systems

     d. Lead projects and assignments to support the overall IT strategic plan

     e. Complete or participate in annual audits of IT Systems, Infrastructure and Security

     f. Occasional travel may be required

5. Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs

Qualifications

  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith
  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred or Associate’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant work experience required
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required
  • 3+ years of relevant hands-on Salesforce configuration experience
  • Experience with custom Apex coding
  • Deep expertise with flows, process builder, skills-based routing, queue-based routing, email-to-case, web-to-case and other advanced Salesforce platform features
  • Proven experience integrating applications and business systems to Salesforce
  • Capable of making recommendations on tools that will provide better user experiences
  • Knowledge of Release Management, Application Lifecycle Management, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Best Practices and Governance
  • Excel in a collaborative environment - working with all levels of personnel and stakeholders
  • Strong team player with ability to develop effective working relationships across the organization and meet the requirements of the department and ministry
  • Ability to be flexible and manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Results-driven with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral
  • Good judgment required in recognizing and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be reliable, cooperative, flexible, and exhibit initiative
  • Must support a flexible schedule and work evening/weekend hours when needed
  • Strong general computer skills are necessary along with a competent, working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and the Internet
  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable

Compensation for this position is $78,000 - $85,000 in Agoura Hills, CA .  We are open to remote candidates within the United States, and the salary may be different based on the city/state in which you work.
