Intetics Inc., a leading American technology company specializing in custom software application development, distributed professional teams creation, software product quality assessment, and “all-things-digital” solutions, is looking for a Scala Developer (Middle/Senior) to join its innovative team.
Our client is developing a high-load platform, and we are looking for a strong backend engineer experienced with Scala and ideally familiar with Akka and Play frameworks. The project focuses on building reliable, scalable distributed systems in a data-intensive environment.
This is a fully remote, long-term opportunity with a fast start.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop backend components using Scala
- Contribute to building distributed, high-performance systems
- Work with Akka (Clustering, Sharding, Persistence, Distributed Data)
- Use the Play framework to build scalable, reactive web services
- Collaborate with the team to maintain system quality, performance, and scalability
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement processes
For Senior-Level Candidates:
- 5+ years of overall backend development experience
- 3+ years of production experience with Scala
- Practical knowledge of Akka and Play framework (any experience acceptable)
For Middle-Level Candidates:
- 3+ years of backend development experience
- At least 1.5 years working with Scala
- Some familiarity with Akka and Play (basic exposure is sufficient)
