BlackStone eIT is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Security Engineer to join our team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for protecting our IT infrastructure and data from security breaches and cyber threats. You will work closely with other IT professionals and management to establish and implement security measures across our organization.
Your role will involve analyzing security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will also develop incident response strategies and conduct regular security training for staff.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement effective security systems and protocols
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents as they occur
Collaborate with IT teams to enhance security measures across the organization
Develop and deliver security training programs for employees
Stay informed about the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
Prepare documentation related to security incidents, policies, and procedures
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a security engineering role
Strong knowledge of security protocols, standards, and best practices
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, anti-virus software)
Experience with security assessments and risk management
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
