Job Description

The Senior Accountant reports to the Director of Close & Consolidation and is responsible for a variety of complex month-end closing activities, journal entry preparation, account analysis, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and month-end consolidations. This role collaborates closely with finance and business unit teams across the organization to ensure seamless financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries in the core ERP system and supporting platforms.
  • Identify and resolve intercompany discrepancies in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and analyze the month-end consolidated intercompany matching schedule.
  • Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Maintain foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support proper consolidation and valuation.
  • Assist in managing the chart of accounts to align with finance and external reporting requirements.
  • Support the quarterly and annual external reporting process and prepare consolidated supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls related to consolidation.
  • Administer the Blackline reconciliation system.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist with financial reporting tie-outs, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and other special projects as required.
  • Support internal management reporting and statutory reporting requests.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead efforts to implement process change

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Minimum of five years of accounting experience; public accounting experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of intercompany, foreign currency translation, and topside journal entries.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP accounting policies and processes.
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities and subsidiaries within a parent company structure.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Group Reporting, and Blackline is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.

Additional Information

For California, Colorado, New York, Washington, and remote roles: The compensation range for this role is $88,950- $157,790. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.

This position is eligible for remote work.
