We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team in Mexico. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely accounting and tax compliance in accordance with both Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and US GAAP. While primarily focused on Mexico, the position will also support accounting and compliance activities related to our expansion across Latin America, making regional experience or interest in cross-border operations a strong asset.
What You’ll Do
- Own the month-end and year-end closing processes for Mexico.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements under both NIF and US GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings (ISR, IVA, DIOT, etc.) and coordinate with tax advisors.
- Oversee payroll accounting, including review of calculations, accruals, and compliance with IMSS, INFONAVIT, and related obligations.
- Support internal and external audits (statutory and group-level).
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure accounting consistency and financial integration.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes, controls, and documentation.
- Work closely with external advisors and SAT requirements to ensure full compliance.
- Leverage NetSuite Oracle for daily accounting operations and reporting.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with solid understanding of NIF, US GAAP, and payroll-related accounting.
- Strong experience in Mexican tax compliance, payroll processes, and dealing with auditors.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with NetSuite Oracle (or similar ERP).
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Fluent English (both written and spoken) – required for global team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and propose improvements proactively.
- Comfortable working in a fully remote and multicultural environment.
