This is a full time position.
Are you a talented Engineer looking to join a growing team? Dispel is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our team of roughly ~25 engineers.
You will have the opportunity to work independently as well as collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality solutions. We strive to maintain a professional and creative work environment where your contributions will be valued and recognized.

Location
We are a 100% fully remote company (U.S. only). You are welcome to use our office in Brooklyn, New York City.

Salary is dependent on the location you reside in.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience.
- Must have been deeply involved with several APIs.
- Must have Python experience.
- Must have good understanding of Databases, Caches, Queues, Events, Lambdas and Workers.
- Understanding of cloud and how the code written will run is required.
- Skilled in Unit testing and E2E testing.
- Must be located in the US.
- Fast learner. Degrees and certificates aren’t a determining factor for us. Rather, we value your ability to care about your work and learn fast.
- Communication and team culture are very important at Dispel. You’ll be joining a collaborative team where new ideas and contributions are encouraged. These criteria are soft, but just relax and be genuine.
- Comfortable working within a visual design systems.
Extra Credit
- Strong SQL / DB knowledge.
- Experience working with feature flags.
- Release experience.
- Networking knowledge.
