Your Role
The Sr. Business Systems Analyst position require a highly motivated problem solver with healthcare experience, analytical skills, solid organizational skills, and a desire to advance within the organization. This position offers the opportunity to work on new projects and existing system enhancement projects from inception through implementation using advanced analytical skills and ability to illustrate and articulate complex data scenarios to technical and non-technical stakeholders. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with peers who thrive on finding innovative solutions to some of healthcare’s biggest challenges and contribute your skills to improve the health and well-being of the members we serve – a community’s most vulnerable.
Primary Functions of the Business Systems Analyst Include:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states.
- Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Work with IT and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, analytics or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in a relevant Business Analyst or Data Analyst position with 5+ years of healthcare experience primarily in Medicare is preferred.
- Must have advanced SQL skills with experience in data analysis, visualization, validation, profiling, cleansing to derive insights from raw data.
- Ability to communicate, illustrate, articulate, and quantify data analysis and data validation findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience working with CMS and/or Payer data feeds - Medical Claims, Eligibility, Rx Claims, Provider, MMR, Lab, and Quality Care Gap data.
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders to develop business specification documents and maintain issue logs to track and communicate issues with data extracts.
- Be a knowledgeable bridge between clients, project managers and technical staff to define, document and share business requirements and expected impact.
- Experience working with technical and non-technical team members/departments to document and create data dictionary of new and existing processes.
- Help verify that all requirements have been met by approving and validating test results.
- Ability to visualize data in creative ways to enhance understanding and accelerate decision making.
- Management skills to track requirements to closure, provide updates on DEV, QA completion and perform UAT testing.
- Proven experience where the candidate has used their analytical skills using tools such as Excel or SQL to quantify anticipated impact of work and impact on Business processes.
- Strong client communication skills translating stakeholders, external vendors and leaderships needs to actionable objectives.
- Proficiency working with rational databases, Structured Query Language, and knowledge of all stages of the Systems Development Life Cycle is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adaptable to shifting priorities.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
The base pay range for this role is $115,800.00 - $136,000.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
