Preferred Candidate Identified

As Senior Clinical Educator you will lead training for large and complex implementation projects by developing and executing educational plans for MCG clients to provide customized clinical and technical training. The Senior Clinical Educator will demonstrate strategy and innovation to both internal and external customers. The Senior Clinical Educator will act as a mentor and guide other Clinical Educators by possessing advanced knowledge of key MCG solutions and software. The Senior Clinical Educator, while adhering to industry standards of excellence, employs various advanced adult learning and training methodologies to deliver models to meet the unique needs of each client and all learners. This role primarily serves Premium and Strategic clients that are typically multi-system or large payor/provider organizations with advanced complexity solutions. The Senior Clinical Educator may also, when necessary, support the education of Strategic clients working in partnership with lead or primary clinical educators.

You will work in the following 4 functions:

  • Possess a deep and advanced understanding of MCG Health’s software solutions, guidelines, and products to support Basic, Standard, and Premium clients by demonstrating proficiency in the following:
    • Advanced proficiency in MCG solutions/software (ISC, GRG, RFC, AC or HC)
    • The core MCG Software systems (ICM and CWQI)
    • Advanced proficiency in two or more automated solutions (IEF, IAD, AA,
  • The Senior Clinical Educator will be assigned to expand on at least two of the following roles:
    • Participate in the Customer Success new educator orientation program as a mentor. o Serve as the primary Train-the-Trainer educator, delivering MCG training to all levels and roles of users.
    • Serve as a primary Interrater Reliability (IRR) case study reviewer, providing clinical input on IRR case studies and the IRR document development and review process.
    • Possess expert knowledge of key software or content features, demonstrating the ability to serve as a subject matter expert (SME).
    • Train and mentor others to increase the Clinical Education team’s knowledge base. o Serve as a clinical and educational consultant for MCG’s internal strategic alliance team, functioning as a subject matter expert on key partner software applications (i.e.: Epic, Allscripts, Cerner, etc.)
    • Serve as a team expert offering support to the clinical inquiry process.
    • Serve as a team expert in web-based training.
    • Provide feedback and/or serve as a resource to product owners on the usability of product or product features.
  • Assess the client’s current operations and recommend workflows that support effective and maximized use of MCG solutions.
  • Update, revise, and manage training programs, materials, and documentation such as user guides, reference materials, and FAQs for comprehensive training support.
  • Act as a mentor and reviewer to Clinical Educators on Basic and Standard clients, general management of clients, feedback on presentation/training, escholar webinars, client calls, developing an education plan or other duties.
  • Partner with Premium and Strategic clients, Care Strategy, Account Management, and the Implementation team to develop customized education plans.
  • Lead clients in the learning process through the collaborative development of annual or ongoing education plans.
  • Involvement in cross-departmental projects representing clinical education.
  • Tailor training programs to meet the unique needs and workflows of healthcare facilities and professionals, ensuring they can effectively integrate MCG Health’s solutions into their practice.
  • Ability to incorporate advanced education techniques and pivot seamlessly based on the client’s needs.
  • Analyze client data available through MCG to formulate customized education plans.
  • Assess clients to identify opportunities for expanded use of licensed MCG solutions.
  • Lead discussions with clients to assess current operations and recommend workflows that support effective and maximized use of MCG solutions.
  • Serve as an advocate for MCG Health’s customers, conveying their needs and concerns to the product development team and assisting in prioritizing feature requests.
  • Conduct training sessions, webinars, workshops, and educational events for healthcare organizations and individuals. This includes both on-site and virtual training.
  • Design training curricula tailored to different healthcare roles, such as physicians, nurses, case managers, and/or utilization review specialists.
  • Author written training proposals and training summaries to define the scope and outcome of training.
  • Communicate complex clinical concepts and software functionality to healthcare professionals with varying levels of expertise on products and solutions.
  • Stay current with clinical research, industry developments, and healthcare best practices to enhance the quality of training content.
  • Proactively Identify potential risks to successful solution implementations and collaborate proactively with other MCG teams to improve success.
  • Monitor team and individual dashboards to achieve adherence to departmental metrics.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Associate’s degree in nursing required.
  • Active, current, and unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required.
  • Three years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting required.
  • Five years’ experience in and advanced knowledge of utilization management, case management, or disease management required.
  • Completing a foundation course in Change Management and an LMS Change Management course required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%-70% of the time to client sites and MCG-sponsored events.
  • Active, current, and unrestricted RN license in a state or territory of the United States required.
  • ATD Master Trainer or Certified Technical Trainer Professional (CTT+) or equivalent required.
  • MCG Care Guidelines Specialist certification required.
  • MCG Train the Trainer certification required.
  • MCG Behavioral Health Certification required.
  • At least four years’ experience in healthcare-related training or education preferred.
  • Experience in health plan operations preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Webex, and Zoom preferred.
  • Active and current Case Management Certification preferred.

Pay Range: $11,525 - $156,123
