This role
As part of our brand-new in-house agency, Hero Collective, we’re on the lookout for our next Senior Designer on a 3-month FTC, with the possibility of a permanent role based on business needs and performance. You live and breathe design, but you think like an Art Director - conceptually sharp and strategically sound. You’ll be joining a talented crew that includes motion designers, copywriters, illustrators, and art directors—all handpicked to push creative boundaries, inspire bold ideas, and bring seriously scroll-stopping campaigns to life.
Reporting to our Design Lead, you’ll play dual roles: part brand guardian, part creative firestarter. We’re building something fresh, fast, and full of ambition. So if you’ve got a sharp eye, big ideas, and a love for design that actually does something, we want you in the mix.
This role is fully remote, but you’ll feel fully connected. We move fast, stay collaborative, and keep things fun. If you’re curious, creatively hungry, and never settle for “good enough” - this one’s got your name on it.
This will include
- Design that hits hard
Create visuals that are as strategic as they are stunning, no cookie-cutter templates. You’ll craft everything from landing pages and paid ads to social content, emails, event collateral, and print. Your work should feel fresh, perform well, and always push the brand forward.
- Own the creative vision
Strong art direction isn’t optional here—it’s core to the role. You bring fresh, original thinking and push ideas beyond the obvious. You’re there from the start, shaping the creative concept and making sure the narrative is clear, compelling, and consistent across every channel.
- Lead the work, together
You own integrated campaigns from first spark to final delivery. You think in systems, not just assets, and bring creative direction that aligns with strategy. But you’re not doing it alone—you partner with writers, marketers, motion designers, and global teams to build bold, campaign-driven work. As a remote-first team, you bring clear, proactive communication to every brief, feedback loop, and sprint.
- Your design brain thinks in motion
You’re a visual storyteller to your core. You storyboard in your head before you even open your laptop. Motion is second nature—you get pacing, rhythm, and how to use sound, movement, and visuals to tell a clear, compelling story. It’s not an add-on for you; it’s baked into your creative thinking from the jump.
- Push the creative edge
We’re not here to play it safe, and neither are you. You’re plugged into what’s next: emerging trends, design tech, platform shifts. You use that insight to keep our creative sharp and ahead of the curve. You don’t chase trends; you make smart calls on when and how to use them.
- You’re that AI person
You bring AI into your process with intention, whether it’s generating concepts, building faster workflows, or testing ideas. You’re not just following the tools; you’re helping shape how we use them as a team. Curiosity and experimentation are part of your DNA.
- Champion the brand
You don’t just design. You think in brand. You get the strategy behind the visuals and make sure your work strengthens the story. You’ll help shape templates, toolkits, and guardrails that balance consistency with creative freedom.
Who you are
To thrive at Employment Hero, you’ll need to embody The EH Way - operating with focus, agility, and an obsession with impact. For this role, you’ll also bring
✅ 6+ years in a creative studio or agency environment
✅ 3+ years being a Senior/Lead Designer or Art Director
✅ A folio packed with clever, scroll-stopping, results-driven work
✅ A motion-first mindset and strong storytelling chops
✅ Strategic and collaborative with a curious streak
✅ Detail obsessed—but always sees the big picture
✅ Passionate about branding, content, and design that hits different
✅ Real-world AI experience—prompting, iterating, innovating
✅ Figma and Adobe Creative Suite wizardry
✅ Familiarity with tools like After Effects, Premier Pro or video editing software. Must feel comfortable collaborating on motion projects and speaking the language of editors and animators
