Redpanda Data

We develop the Agentic Data Plane (ADP), a new type of AI infrastructure that connects AI agents with enterprise data and systems. The ADP uses a multi-modal data streaming engine, letting agentic applications process and react to data in real time.

Our streaming platform is an alternative to Apache Kafka, built for various high-scale workloads. Our platform offers event-driven data infrastructure for continuous data ingestion, processing, and storage. It includes built-in governance and traceability. Key features are:

• connecting agents to various data sources
• enterprise-wide guardrails
• a unified SQL query layer for live streams and historical data
• an audit trail for agent interactions

We designed Redpanda for simplicity, efficiency (with reported 6x lower costs and sub-second latency), interoperability (over 300 connectors), and security. We offer both SaaS and self-managed options, with multi-cloud support including Microsoft Azure.

We acquired Oxla to improve real-time analytics, ad-hoc querying, and data transformation within the Agentic Data Plane. Companies like Activision Blizzard, Cisco, Moody’s, Texas Instruments, Vodafone, and two of the top five U.S. banks use Redpanda to process hundreds of terabytes of data daily. Examples include processing 800 million events per day, 1.1 trillion records daily, and 100 billion events tracked daily. Some customers have cut brokers by 87% and saved up to 30% on storage costs with tiered storage, handling throughputs of 14.5 GB per second and supporting up to 100 million users with 100 GB per minute throughput.
