The Senior Director of Field & Event Marketing drives the strategy, planning, and execution of compelling events and experiences. Build creative in-person activations that build awareness of our brand, drive engagement, and generate pipeline. These include industry events, hosted customer & prospect events, and partner event activations. You will build a team to execute a global and regional event strategy and prioritize, plan and communicate event strategy and planning initiatives.
The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, a strategic marketing approach to event execution, and results-oriented approach to lead or support creation of innovative experiences that engage prospects and customers. You are someone who understands how to plan and implement strategies that drive measurable results and align with business goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, plan, and manage the overall event strategy, including end-to-end management and execution of industry event sponsorships, ancillary events, and stand-alone field events for direct prospect, partner, and customer engagement and pipeline generation.
- Develop event strategies focused on maximizing StongDM’s brand presence, engaging prospects and customers and generating pipeline & revenue with a key focus on ROI.
- Lead pre-, onsite and post-event initiatives, including marketing promotion, recruitment, sales outreach, logistics, lead tracking, customer engagement, and metrics.
- Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and collaborate closely to determine goals, develop cohesive strategy, and execute on deliverables deadlines.
- Manage vendor and event agency or partner relationships.
- Lead content development and delivery for events, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and partners to plan speakers, themes and formats.
- Oversee event budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective execution.
- Actively participate in the annual planning process by researching relevant events, demonstrating ROI from previously managed events, and providing recommendations.
- Work with marketing/creative to ensure consistent strategy/messaging across all event efforts.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years experience delivering industry and field marketing events for prospective customers and clients, and with partners, preferably in B2B.
- Understanding of how to leverage a complete marketing strategy via event execution.
- Excellent skills in verbal and written communication, teamwork, project management, problem solving, and attention to detail with ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Motivated self-starter that enjoys working independently as well as on a team.
- Proven track record of leading several events from end to end.
- Familiarity with SFDC, project management platforms, building a great event brief and strategic deck to get all relevant functions on the same page.
- Ability to project manage with remote contributors and stakeholders efficiently and effectively.
- Highly organized with good follow-through capabilities.
SUCCESS CRITERIA
- Delivering strategic event programs that drive measurable pipeline and revenue impact: Successfully plan and execute a portfolio of industry, partner, and proprietary events that generate qualified leads, influence pipeline, and deliver clear ROI aligned to business goals.
- Building a scalable, high-performing event engine: Establish repeatable processes, cross-functional alignment, and a high-caliber team to manage event execution globally—ensuring flawless coordination, timely delivery, and strong internal stakeholder satisfaction.
- Elevating brand presence and engagement through differentiated experiences: Create memorable, on-brand event experiences that deepen customer and prospect relationships, enhance StrongDM’s reputation in the market, and support sales and partner collaboration.
COMPENSATION:
- $200,000 - $240,000 (DOE) + 15% bonus + equity salary packages
