Keeper Security is hiring an experienced and highly motivated Senior Director of Technical Operations to lead our Security Operations Center (SOC) and Network Operations Center (NOC). This is a 100% remote position, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA or Chicago, IL metro area.

About the Job

As the Senior Director of Technical Operations, you will develop and execute a unified vision that integrates infrastructure reliability, network operations, and security response. You will lead high-performing SOC and NOC teams, ensuring 247 coverage, operational readiness, and rapid, coordinated incident response. This role requires a proven leader with deep technical expertise, the ability to build cross-functional collaboration, and a relentless focus on operational excellence, security posture, and business continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a unified strategy that integrates infrastructure reliability, network operations, and security response

  • Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with Security, Engineering, IT, and Compliance teams

  • Establish and maintain a culture of proactive operations, continuous improvement, and operational readiness

  • Lead the SOC to ensure 247 detection, triage, and rapid response to security threats

  • Oversee the NOC to maintain constant visibility into infrastructure health, network availability, and performance metrics

  • Implement unified incident response protocols and integrated playbooks for SOC and NOC operations

  • Drive capacity planning, performance optimization, and automation strategies across infrastructure and security operations

  • Oversee vulnerability management and patch remediation from detection through resolution

  • Manage technical aspects of audits, penetration testing, and business continuity planning

  • Define and monitor KPIs for reliability, security, cost efficiency, and incident resolution

  • Lead root cause analysis and post-incident reviews to ensure accountability and continuous learning

  • 10+ years of experience in technical operations, security operations, or infrastructure leadership

  • 5+ years managing SOC and/or NOC environments in a 247, high-availability SaaS or enterprise environment

  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), observability tooling, and incident response frameworks

  • Deep understanding of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other modern security and network technologies

  • Strong background in network performance, infrastructure as code, and operational playbook development

  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing, cross-functional operations teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree or certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or CCSP a plus)

  • Proven ability to balance uptime objectives with minimizing attack surface

  • Calm and decisive in high-pressure incident response scenarios

  • Fluent in communicating technical risk, security posture, and status updates to executive stakeholders

  • Bias for action, automation, and simplification of complex systems
